Suppliers play a vital role for any company to achieve their goals. They form an important link in the supply chain. The success of the company depends in part on the extent to which its suppliers are able to deliver the purchased goods and services on time in accordance with the required quality. It is therefore crucial to build a good relationship and to liaise with the suppliers throughout the whole lifecycle.<\/p>\n

SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management<\/a> (SLC) enables you to continuously improve your supplier\u2019s performance and helps you to manage your relationship with supplier in the process.\u00a0SAP SLC provides the following capabilities:<\/span><\/p>\n

Supplier Registration<\/em><\/strong>: The potential suppliers are able to log in to the company\u2019s portal and register themselves indicating that they would like to do business. Via an electronic form, they enter their name and address information and select the commodities they can provide. After an initial assessment by the responsible person within your company you determine whether the supplier is interesting enough to move on to the qualification process. This assessment can be supported by an approval workflow.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Supplier Qualification:<\/em><\/strong> Using pre-defined questionnaires, the supplier can be subject to an in-depth assessment. Scores and weights can be assigned to the answers provided by the supplier to form a quality judgment and take a decision. The supplier can also add required certificates to the questionnaires if applicable. The qualification process can be repeated several times throughout the lifecycle of the supplier.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Supplier Portfolio Management<\/em><\/strong>: SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management enables the supplier to maintain their own master data through the portal. The supplier may initiate a change to the master data that will be subject to a review by administrator. If the administrator approves the change he will be able to distribute this change to the relevant ERP systems. SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management allows the supplier to maintain its own internal contacts. The system can also be set to send reminders to the suppliers informing them that a particular certificate is about to expire and that he needs to submit a new one.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Supplier Performance Management:<\/em><\/strong> You can evaluate your suppliers by periodically sending questionnaires to a group of internal appraisers. An evaluation questionnaire can also be sent to an internal user after a certain event (e.g. goods receipt, invoice booked, etc). Based on the answers provided by the appraisers you will have an overview of the suppliers\u2019 performance. This overview can be used as an input for starting discussions with your suppliers in order to improve their performance.<\/p>\n

SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management can be implemented in 3 different ways. As a hub or as an Add On to SRM or ERP:<\/p>\n

Leveranciers spelen een essenti\u00eble rol voor elke onderneming bij het realiseren van hun doelstellingen. Zij vormen een belangrijke schakel in de distributieketen. Het succes van het bedrijf is mede afhankelijk van de mate waarin haar leveranciers in staat zijn om de ingekochte goederen en diensten tijdig te leveren conform de gewenste kwaliteitseisen. Dat bepaalt vervolgens de klanttevredenheid van de afnemers. Het is daarom cruciaal om een goede relatie op te bouwen en te onderhouden met de leveranciers vanaf het eerste contactmoment tot het punt waarbij afscheid van elkaar wordt genomen.<\/p>

SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management <\/a>(SLC) wordt nog niet vaak toegepast, maar biedt wel de middelen hiervoor. Daarom worden in deze blog\u00a0de volgende functionaliteiten van SAP SLC eens toegelicht:<\/p>

Supplier Registration<\/em><\/strong>: De potentiele leveranciers worden in staat gesteld om via een portaal zichzelf aan te melden bij uw bedrijf. Via een elektronische formulier voeren ze hun NAW gegevens in en kunnen ze aangeven welke producten en diensten ze kunnen leveren. Na een eerste toetsing door de verantwoordelijke personen binnen het bedrijf wordt bepaald of deze leverancier interessant genoeg is om verder te gaan naar het kwalificatie proces. Deze toetsing kan worden ondersteund door een goedkeuring workflow.<\/p>

\"Compera<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

Supplier Qualification: <\/em><\/strong>Met behulp van vooraf gedefinieerde vragenlijsten kan de leverancier worden onderworpen aan een diepgaande beoordeling. Aan de antwoorden kunnen scores en wegingen worden toegekend om op die manier een oordeel te vellen over de kwaliteit en een beslissing te kunnen nemen. De leverancier wordt in staat gesteld om certificaten toe te voegen indien van toepassing. Het kwalificatieproces kan meerdere malen gedurende de levenscyclus van de leverancier worden herhaald.<\/p>

Supplier Portfolio Management:<\/em><\/strong> SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management stelt de leverancier in staat om zijn eigen stamgegevens te onderhouden via het portaal. De leverancier kan een wijziging initi\u00ebren die na een beoordeling door de stamgegevens beheerder gerepliceerd kan worden naar de verschillende ERP systemen. De leverancier kan ook haar eigen interne contactpersonen onderhouden. Het systeem kan ook zodanig worden ingesteld om herinneringen te sturen naar de leveranciers voordat een bepaalde certificaat verloopt.<\/p>

Supplier Performance Management:<\/em><\/strong> Leveranciers kunnen worden beoordeeld door periodiek een vragenlijst te versturen naar een groep interne beoordeelaars. Op basis van de antwoorden wordt een overzicht van de prestaties van de leveranciers verkregen.<\/p>
