Since SAP went into the Ariba cloud, you surely heard about Ariba Contract Management (ACM) replacing SAP Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM). In fact ACM already bypassed CLM as the preferred legal contract application with the richest contract\u00a0functionality.\u00a0I wrote this blog to give you a better insight in what you can expect of Ariba Contract\u00a0Management by showing you the main building blocks and features of the product.<\/p>\n

Contract dashboard<\/strong><\/p>\n

ACM delivers a comprehensive dashboard, which can be tailored to your needs, that provides all the insights you need. It is the perfect starting point for all your contract related activities. You can have graphical KPI reports, direct links to your most common actions, a to-do list, recently viewed documents, expiry date alerts, etc\u2026 And all with an easy to use click-through navigation to drill down to the details.<\/p>\n

Contract workspace<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every contract, being a new one or a renewal, is seen as a project. This means it needs to be managed as a project as well. The Workspace covers all activities and guides you through the process. Starting from a predefined template workspace, you can simply add your framework details, determine the team and roles that will work on the contract, set up the list of tasks, and generate and manage the necessary documents in Microsoft\u00a0Word.<\/p>\n

The whole process is supported with document management functionalities, task workflows, communication, and extensive collaboration features for everyone working in the contract workspace.<\/p>\n

Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n

The key for good communication between all the stakeholders is a good collaboration environment. Once you have agreed with a supplier you will negotiate a contract with them, you can provide a supplier specific view on the contract Workspace. There the supplier can easily add its own documents and information, contract content and communicate directly with you. The supplier will have a significant role in your contract management process and the collaboration within the workspace makes sure you stay in control.<\/p>\n

Publish contracts to catalogs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once you have completed the contract creation processes, you want to make sure you utilize the contract. This is the transition of the contractual promised savings to the operational actual savings.\u00a0Simply publish the contract you negotiated to a catalog and the content will be available within your organization’s P2P catalog buying process in the Ariba Procurement Content – catalog. You can now purchase directly from the catalog linked to the contract, or simply browse the contract and purchase from there. Whatever is easiest!<\/p>\n

Sinds SAP naar de Ariba cloud is gegaan heeft u ongetwijfeld gehoord dat Ariba Contract Management (ACM) de vervanger is van SAP Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM). Deze blog zal u een beter inzicht in wat je van Ariba CM kunnen verwachten, door u de belangrijkste bouwstenen en de kenmerken van het product te geven.<\/p>

Contract dashboard<\/strong><\/p>

ACM levert een uitgebreid dashboard dat kan worden afgestemd op uw wensen en dat alle inzichten biedt die nodig zijn. Het is de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor alle contract gerelateerde activiteiten. Het Dashboard biedt grafische KPI rapportages, directe links naar de meest voorkomende acties, een to-do lijst, recent bekeken documenten, vervaldatum waarschuwingen, etc ... En dat alles met een eenvoudige \u2018doorklik\u2019 navigatie om dieper op de details in te zoomen.<\/p>

Contract workspace<\/strong><\/p>

Elk contract, zowel nieuw als een verlenging, wordt gezien als een project. Dit betekent dat het ook moet worden beheerd als een project. De Workspace omvat alle projectactiviteiten en leidt u door het proces. Uitgaande van een vooraf gedefinieerd workspace-sjabloon, zijn eenvoudig raamcontractdetails toe te voegen, zijn het team en de rollen te bepalen die aan het contract zullen werken, is een taaklijst op te zetten en kunnen de benodigde documenten in Microsoft Word worden gegenereerd en beheerd.<\/p>

Het hele proces wordt ondersteund met documentmanagement-, workflow-, communicatiefunctionaliteiten, en uitgebreide functies voor samenwerking voor iedereen die werkzaam is in de contractworkspace.<\/p>

Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>

De sleutel voor een goede communicatie tussen alle betrokken partijen is een goede omgeving voor samenwerking. Zodra met een leverancier is overeengekomen om een contract uit te onderhandelen, kan de leverancier een specifieke view\/rol in de contract workspace worden geboden. Daar kan de leverancier gemakkelijk documenten en contractinformatie toe voegen en direct met u (de inkopende partij) communiceren. De leverancier zal een belangrijke rol hebben in het contractmanagementproces en de samenwerking binnen de workspace zorgt ervoor dat u in control blijft.<\/p>

Het automatisch\u00a0publiceren van contracten naar de catalogus<\/strong><\/p>

Zodra het proces van het cre\u00ebren van een contract is voltooid, is het van belang om ervoor te zorgen dat het contract maximaal kan worden benut. Dit is de\u00a0transitie van de contractuele \u201cpromised savings\u201d naar de operationele\u00a0\u201cactual savings\u201d. Dit kan door eenvoudigweg het onderhandelde contract te publiceren naar de Ariba Procurement Content (APC) catalogus, waardoor de inhoud beschikbaar wordt in het P2P \u2013 catalog buying proces binnen de organisatie. U kunt nu direct shoppen uit de catalogus gekoppeld aan het contract, of gewoon door het contract scrollen en vanuit daar inkopen. Wat u het gemakkelijkst vindt.<\/p>
